Brian Samp Cares About Working Oregonians

I’m Brian Samp, and I’m running to be your State Representative because I want to help working families get a hand up, not a handout, of the hard times so many people are facing!

I spent my career as a union electrician, helping make businesses and homes work for Oregonians. I also volunteered extensively with Habitat for Humanity across our state, where I have seen our housing crisis firsthand.

I would be honored to earn your vote and your support. I’m running a grassroots campaign, so any contributions you can make are greatly appreciated.

Housing

I was a part of housing construction my whole career. Building more housing is a win-win-win: It creates good jobs, and more housing brings down the cost of rent and the overall housing market. We need to invest in building more and doing it now.

Healthcare

Health Care is a right, and everyone should have access to it. Health Care should be between a person and their Doctor—no one else, whether insurance companies or the government.

Seniors

This isn’t just a talking point for me, I’m a soon-to-be retired Oregonian living on a fixed income myself. We have worked our entire lives for our communities, our state government needs to step up and do its part for seniors struggling with the price of living.

Jobs and the Economy

I was able to make a life for myself because I had a strong union job with a living wage. Too many young people today don’t have that opportunity. We should invest in apprenticeship programs and opportunities for young people to update the aging infrastructure in our community while learning real marketable skills.
